Connect your body to your food, and your food to the earth.

Scholars will get their hands dirty with hands on, experimental, and project based learning.  Starting in the garden, and harvesting for our cooking.

We will explore and discuss permaculture concepts, hands on work in the garden, and thematic learning.

Background:

I’ve homeschooled my own children since 2006, applying principles of various modalities to include leadership education, Montessori, and Waldorf styles.

I’m passionate about cultivating and growing children’s natural talents and strengths, while stretching them to push their limits.

I’ve been a verified Wellness Coach since 2015, with a life long love to learn about nutrition and health.  Growing up with a family Ranch and large scale organic farm operation, growing chemical free seasonal food has been ingrained in me.

Background:

“As a young boy growing up in Liberia West Africa, agriculture was the way of life for me. My grandfathers grew rubber, cassava and rice and as a young boy I was always around plants. All that beauty was lost during a civil war that started in the late 80’s in Liberia and forced my family to take refuge at a camp in Ghana, West Africa. On our share of land at the camp, my mother grew cassava, peppers and a variety of spices that made our rations of rice and beans taste much better. From the refugee camp, we came to the United States of America where I completed high school. Upon graduating, I joined the United States Navy.

In 2007, I was Honorably Discharged from the Navy after serving 7 years and doing 3 tours in the Middle East. In 2010, I started the Nursery Technology program at Cuyamaca College and studied Nursery Technology while working as the student Manager for the Cuyamaca College Nursery. I currently serve as Farm Manager for Wild Willow Farm and Education Center and in my spare time I helped found and operate the nonprofit Charity World.”
